The Devil And Mr. Rath

As you may be aware, Madeira and I are a deeply religious couple. We pray before meals and before bed. We had a religious wedding that was deeply meaningful to us. We go to church regularly and are active in our spiritual community. We first met, in fact, through an online faith-based group. We believe that Satan brought us together.

That’s right, we are Satanists. So what does that mean? Let me begin by acknowledging that Satanism means many different things to many different people. We aren’t LaVeyans (Church of Satan). We don’t belong to the Satanic Temple– those are the ones you see most in the news, you know, the guys with the big Baphomet statue. For one thing, both of those sects are atheistic– they don’t really believe in Satan as a extant being, only as a symbol. Madeira and I believe deeply in Lucifer and consider ourselves to have a personal relationship with him.

That’s probably enough to take in at one time. More to come.
